Welcome to No Easy Walk
Strengthening Relationships
Healthy relationships start with the ability to build and maintain feelings of personal worth and belonging. Increasing self-esteem and self-confidence creates positive attitudes towards one's own ability. To understand, respect and accept others, students must learn to understand and accept themselves. Through a year-long program, No Easy Walk emphasizes this concept to strengthen students' understanding of expression and interpersonal needs: inclusion, control, and affection. Ultimately, students gain lasting bonds between themselves, peers, school personnel, and community.
Integration learning
By recognizing that an interest and desire to learn precede understanding, No Easy Walk creates experimental settings effective to developing interpersonal relationships, communication of shared visions and goals, behavior modification in response to change, and personal effectiveness. Students take on leadership roles in school-wide project based learning initiatives that incorporate core subjects with 21st Century Themes and Skills. The student's ability to analyze what they learn and apply it to their lives triggers positive changes in their school and community.
Building Future
No Easy Walk involves students in a life for committed citizenship. It is a creative approach to connecting youth to and through their school community. By strengthening their role in learning AND providing valued opportunities, students are empowered to fully participate in all aspects of society while providing opportunities for others to enjoy a higher quality of life.
